I hope everyone enjoyed the meeting this past Wednesday at El Segundo Brewing Co. I had a blast and thought Rob was a great host. For those who missed the meeting, or didn't get one of the handouts to take home, here is the exact text:

White Dog Contest

Homebrewer to create clone of White Dog IPA

Ingredients listed but with no quantities, temp, durations, etc. You get to use your knowledge to come as close as possible to the White Dog

Here is a link to the scoresheets for our club cabernet barrel aged strong dark sour ale that I submitted to the Mayfaire for us. It was very well received, scoring a 40 and a 42, for an average score of 41/50, right in the middle of the "excellent" range.

Somewhat surprisingly, that score wasn't good enough to place. With 550 or so entries altogether this year, there must have been a lot of good ...

The Long Beach Homebrewers have invited us to join them in their Inland Empire brewery tour coming up on Saturday, June 2nd.

Reminder that we have our March meeting tonight at South Bay Brewing Supply 1311 Post Ave, Torrance, starting at 7 PM. Bring cash for the raffle and/or some club pint glass we'll be selling. Dry Stout on Nitro in honor of St. Patrick's Day, plus the guys from SBBS will be brewing a Wheat IPA during the meeting.

There are only 750 entries per each of the 10 judging locations and many of the more popular sites (i. e. San Diego) are already like 80% full, so act fast!!!!
